full of thoughts...

Just saw this debate program on Channel U on single motherhood. One of the panelists was Maia Lee, whom I feel is more famous for her buxomy figure than her singing voice. Well, she's a single mother at 24 and she was really proud of herself that she gave birth at 19 and she did not want the father of her child to be involved. I have immense respect for single mums, no doubt about that, but frankly i think she's pretty naive about what it takes to be a mother. Her views are way too simplistic, that her child just needs her and don't need the father. I feel that a child is the responsibility of both the father and the mother. You can't just make a unilateral decision for the child and say, fuck off dad, i will handle this alone. I don't think that's being fair to the child at all.
I guess I have views on this issue because I have friends who got themselves into shotgun marriages before 25 and most of their marriages are on the rocks now. Having a child before marriage is just pure emotional suicide, possibly landing both the father and the mother into a marriage that both parties do not want to be in.
On another note, last night I had to accompany Botak to Mambo night at Zouk (yes, you heard me right, I was at Mambo again) I was super reluctant to go as my back was hurting like hell and I was pretty tired too. But Botak insisted I accompany him there as he is meeting this girl from NTU and he's afraid that he will run out of conversation topics to talk about. He likens me to being a conversation-topic-ATM, dispensing topics at will. Wasn't a great night at all. I'll probably do Zouk or MOS again this weekend to fill my brain with some music that flows with me.
This is a short and funny video. The dude nearly tea-bagged himself, if you understand american slang ;)
Mood: horny as hell
