shagedelic monday...

Today, I did the one thing that I have been procrastinating for so long - running! Been doing so much weights in the gym these days, I have totally neglected running. Man, gone are the days where I could run and run and not feel tired (thanks to SAF and their incessant fetish to keep running and running everywhere)

I did like 3km and almost collapsed. Yes, I'm that lousy now! Ha! The longest I ever ran was 18km and that nearly killed me. But my 3km is non-stop without any rest, so it's still pretty worthy. Either I need more sex to build up my stamina, or I need to run more. Think I prefer the former since there's fun included. Ha!

I remembered this Spanish film called Diarios de Motocicleta which was recommended to me by my childhood buddy Weixiang. That film inspired me and my dream of riding around the world in a BMW motorbike, become an adventurer and see the world from the ground.

I picture in my mind, that I will setup my own tent and start a small campfire in the open fields, and boil myself a warm cup of milo. I will travel from Singapore to Malaysia, north to Thailand, up to Laos, through the villages in China and go via Lhasa in Tibet.

I intend to bypass the entire Bangladesh, India portion (don't see a reason or interest in visiting those places) Well, from Tibet onwards, it's going to be hazy because I will have to go past countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan to get to Europe. But oh well, I will figure it out when the time comes. Hee..

fat boy...

I got woken up early this morning by my parents who complained (get this) that I'm getting fat! Ha! For those friends who know me for a long time, that's as good as telling a monk that he needs to buy a new comb. Fats and Dennis just do not match! Ha! I'm happily amused though, but I got to admit, my appetite has been amazing these days. I usually eat a full meal at 3am in the morning after I come back from clubbing, and given the frequency I go to Zouk these days, it's not difficult to imagine where the food has landed themselves in me.

Well, being the metrosexual/male-model-wannabe me, I've already mapped out a fitness plan on how to get into the best shape ever within the next month. We are talking about loads of sweat, weights and sit-ups! Besides, I got reservist coming up end August, which means one whole week of field and PT training with my men. Got to show them a good example!

I was watching this very romantic film and a line in the movie was really meaningful.

"When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It rocks like an earthquake and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have got to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable to be apart. Love is not just only about the excitement, but what is left over after being in love has burnt away."

Awfully meaningful, in my opinion. For those of you in love out there, this line is dedicated to you.

I got this urge to do a few things:

1. Play tennis
2. Do street luge in Sentosa
3. Try wakeboarding once
4. Pracise singing karaoke
5. Take a trip to Bangkok to buy *ahem* DVDs and clothes
6. Take a trip to somewhere else after Bangkok
7. Do rollerblading along East Coast Park

Anyone wanna join me? Let me know! Oh, here's an upbeat track for those who likes to listen to music when they run!
