the second best crime movie i have watched...

I remember watching this movie once in my neighbourhood library when I was young. Back then, one of my favourite weekend activities was to visit the library (not to borrow intellectual readings but to borrow Tin-tin, Asterix & Obelix comics. Yay!) And I would also queue up to rent a Laser Disc (Laser Discs were like super high technology that time!) to watch the entire afternoon. I still remember vividly how it was like exactly in the library, as if it was just yesterday. Ahhh, my childhood years.
And I digress.
Back to this movie, this is officially going down my list as my second favourite crime movie of all time. Nothing will ever replace Scarface (an epic film that will never be replaced) Heat should have gotten an Academy Award for best cinematography. The infamous bank robbery scene is the best among all the crime movies I have seen to date (Michael Bay should learn from this director, because Bad Boys has way too much explosives and zero realism) Al Pacino and Robert De Niro both did very well on this movie (for those not familiar with Hollywood, these 2 actors were very fierce competitors in the 70s & 80s. They were fighting against each other for roles in The Godfather, Goodfellas, Raging Bull etc. because they were similarly outstanding.) Funny enough, this is the first film they are actually sharing screen time together after so many years! Don't you just love Hollywood?
I'm a big, big fan of Al Pacino and Brad Pitt films, and I sincerely believe that these 2 actors are definitely the best in Hollywood. The films they do never fail to make me stand up and give them a clap. Many may diss Brad Pitt off as a pretty boy, but he has undertaken many movies that I love (like Seven Years in Tibet, Spy Game, Troy, Snatch etc.)
If you can't tell by now, I'm a big movie fan =) Big is not a good enough adjective. HUGE fan!
