friday river island...

If someone ever asks me what is my favorite day of the week, i will say Friday! For some unapparent reason, my mood is always uplifted on Fridays no matter how much it sucks. Yesterday, I met up with a Thai friend who just flew in to Singapore for a couple of days, and we were hanging out at McDonald's in Bugis Junction. Luck has it that there is this Thai festival going on too, and there was this fashion show with all the Thai models. Woo hoo! The model girls were very tall, beautiful, sexy and tall (yes, i repeated it for emphasis), but I know for sure that these 'girls' are actually boys! My rule of thumb is, if they are too beautiful to be true, they must be men. Ha!
I took a train ride down to City Hall for dinner. I walked around Raffles City a bit and discovered this new store called River Island. And the clothes they sell are really beautiful and fashionable! I will definitely shop here in future as an alternative to my regular Zara and Topshop wardrobe. Ladies, you should check out River Island too. They have great clothes for women! I guess I will probably go down again next weekend to buy some new clothes.
Today, I repaired my poor, neglected mountain bike and took it for a spin to SAFRA swimming pool for my weekly dip. Darn, the distance was probably like 6 or 7 km but I was panting like a dog! Got to start running more to build up my stamina.
Mood: Extremely tired.

River Island opened its flagship store on our sunny shores in VivoCity early this year. Would you believe it - Robinson & Co is the company responsible for bringing in this high street label! Robinson & Co must be trying to jazz up their stodgy image. :)
A 6-7km ride on the bicycle is a very short spin and should not result in any muscle ache. Maybe you were not appropriately attired? May I suggest, cycling tights? They really provide superb padding and minimise friction between the saddle and your nether region. Oh, and they definitely emphasise every inch of your ... posterior! (*ahem, surely you didn't, for a minute, think I was referring to whatever I think you're thinking now? ;D)
River Island clothes are quite nice! Hey, maybe sometime we should go check out the branch at VivoCity together eh?
And you have to kill me first before I put on cycling tights! Ha! It looks so gay lah! :)
River Island's too pricey. I can get similarly styled togs at other high street labels for less.
Orchard Road still tugs at my heart (and purse-strings!)... I don't like VivoCity much for the same reason why I don't like other suburban malls :)
Well, the next time you go shopping in Orchard, don't forget to call me! I need a fashionista to give me opinions when I buy clothes. Besides, it's great fun to go shopping together! You can be my fashion consultant!
